When I first heard of this blog site, I was so happy for it as I believed (and still do) that it’s about time those many people who were affected by Perry and Jacque and their church, finally got a chance to speak about their experiences and tell what they know. It gives all of us an opportunity to expose what’s been going on for many years (and to my knowledge, still is). There are many aspects to this site, but I will only zero in on the exposure end of it.

On one…

Having worked with the Baker's from the beginning of their Mozambican ministry and through the years, one of the first things both Heidi and Rolland would say is "We aren't perfect."  They don't…

This man's post on his blog surely spoke to me. I woke for some reason and ended up reading this. It comforted me to see his courage to post such words of truth!

A silent scream

The aftermath of leaving this church just will not end. And just when I think I MIGHT be ready to enter into and dip my toe into another church, I get scorched by the one I left. It serves as a reminder that our souls, our spirituality, our relationship with our savior is so very precious and personal that entering into a church is more than looking into one. If I could be so easily manipulated, and allow my children to be as well..... I just can not believe how I allowed myself to get to this… Continue

"May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."

Key words for me today ... LOVE, COMPLETE, FULLNESS ... God is so good to us.

I want to share but....

It took me many years to heal. Divorce, deaths, 2 cults, loss of friendships...well that says enough. I am healing and have actually found a church I feel safe and at home in. I feel I am beginning to function spiritually in a new and fresh way for the first time in over 20 years. That's all I have for this minute. It's late and I will post more later. I am glad to see people are popping back on here and sharing.

This was too long for a status update so I had to post it as a blog post.  If you've ever doubted that you can/have heard to the Holy Spirit....

"But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true--it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ." (New Living Translation)

Part of the process

I have been processing through a lot of emotions these days. Not all of it can be attributed to my key church stuff, but a lot of it can.

I  have been praying lately (with a friend not at all affiliated with this website) about the impending changes happening within our realm .... We have been praying about eyes being opened, blinders lifted off, hearts changing, and a general refocus on JESUS. I began thinking today that as we grow older the age gap amongst adults seemingly…

"I wasn't calling this divisive. Each person's heart is accountable to God, certainly not me. I was not judging. It's good to examine everything in the light of God's word. That takes time."
